How to get fit on a budget

66% of all people who make New Year’s resolutions make some kind of fitness related goal. But 1 in 3 people give up on their resolution by the end of January, and only 8% actually reach their goal. Ouch! Those are not good odds!

Fitness related goals are hard. It takes a lot of time and for most of us, it is not a habit. I’ve found that I make a lot of excuses if I have to go someplace else (like the gym). So I’ve been using free exercise videos at home. And guess what! I have better success actually doing it and I am not spending a ton of money on a gym membership.

I know for some people a gym membership motivates them to go exercise. If that works for you, by all means do it! But if you are like me, here is a sampling of some of my favorite exercise videos. I separated them based on length. Then I really have no excuse not to at least do something. Some are as short as 10 minutes. Plus none of these videos require any equipment. Really, no excuses!

30 Minute Workouts (I almost never get more more than a 30 minute workout in, because I always try to do at least 10 minutes of stretching)

Youtube.com is a great place to find exercise videos for free. Just use common sense and don’t do videos that are too hard for you. Good luck on your New Year’s Resolutions!
