Plan meals, make a shopping list and stick to it. Doing this will keep you from spending extra money on impulse buys or items that might go bad before you eat them. I know that I often make adjustments in my meal plan if I find something on sale or special that I was not aware of, but that doesn’t happen very often. Planning ahead allows you to take advantage of sale items advertised in ads and coupons.
