I love when I am able to find bargains on clothes for my boys. Like a lot of people I grew up getting a new dress every Easter. I like to get my boys new dressy outfits for Easter too. With the many projects we are working on in our new home and having to purchase a new car (life sometimes!) there wasn’t a lot in our budget for clothes…okay so there was nothing in the budget for new clothes 🙁 I managed to cut our grocery bill down a bit for February so that I could spend $20 on outfits for them. I scored big time this year and ended up only having to spend $10, that even included adorable dress shoes for my 1 year old!

Aren’t they handsome?

If you haven’t heard of ThredUp yet, it is like an upscale consignment store online. Very cool! When you refer friends you both get a coupon code for a certain amount off, usually $10. I happened to catch them when they were doing a promo and got $15 for referring a friend 🙂 Basically I only paid to have the items shipped to me.

If you want to check them out you can visit them here: ThredUp

I made his tie from some scrap fabric I had leftover from a previous project. I am not a wonderful seamstress, but the tie was super easy to do, and it turned out cute.
I used a tutorial and pattern found over at ImSharingTheWealth. I have lots of little pieces of fabric that I intend to use to make a few more 🙂

I found my older son’s outfit at a local Thrift store. They had sent out a coupon for $5 off any purchase. So we were also able to get him a new pair of pajamas (his old ones were a bit snug), and a pair of jeans. But the dress outfit was just $4.99!
