This journal has been a great way to encourage observation and making inferences. I explained to my 3rd grader that an inference is figuring out information based on observation or/and previous knowledge. Plus it was a fun way to get outside and enjoy the fall weather.
Monarchs are generally prevalent in our area in late September to early October, But you can find information for your area by visiting Monarch Watch.
